  • Representation of individuals and entities in civil disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration tribunals, including professional liability, fiduciary disputes, shareholder actions, contract disputes, business torts and investment fraud
  • Prevailed in representation of physician group in arbitration obtaining before the American Health Lawyers Association in Florida, winning a substantial monetary award on counterclaims and rejection of all claims
  • Obtained a complete defense verdict after a three-week jury trial in Texas for a healthcare company, physician group and CEO, in a suit seeking more than $70 million on claims raising various issues concerning the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), Medicare and the corporate practice of medicine
  • Counsel employers and executives on employment matters, including trade secret protection, violations of restrictive covenants and breach of fiduciary duty. Defeated multiple preliminary injunction motions in state and federal courts
  • Obtained dismissal in federal court of civil securities fraud claims against private equity investors
  • Successfully represented numerous commercial property owners in lease, transactional and landlord–tenant disputes
  • Won expedited appeal before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court to allow live web-casting of judicial proceedings in Superior Court by an online media company
  • Regularly represent parents in international child abduction (Hague Convention) cases in federal courts. Argued and won appeals before the First Circuit Court of Appeals
